These situations shouldn’t be hidden from the public eye, everyone should be able to form their own opinions and do what they feel is necessary to TRY and avoid these hectic situations or voice an opinion to hold people accountable and see change.

Beyond Body, on the other hand, gives guidance and diet regimens tailored to “problem” body regions that consumers wish to trim down. I think it’s important to let everyone know that beauty standards shouldn’t be listened too. If you watch any movie there are 30-year-olds playing as 16-year-olds. This can set a bad example and look for our next generation because kids will think they don’t look like the beauty standards that the media shows us.

How the Death of a Black Teenager in New York Led to Harlem Race Riots (insider.com)

Two weeks later, a white, off-duty police officer shot and killed a Black teenager in Harlem.

The incident catalyzed the Harlem race riot of 1964 and sparked a string of protests in other US cities.

This story is very useful since, it gives the modern-day reader a sense of direction, as to when and why the first American riot’ took place in Harlem.  This story is a great story, as 16 years steals from a store in Harlem and the cops are called to arrest the boy. People gathered outside the store to stand at the boy side for support. The store owner became scared and recommended to let the boy go since he feared there might be retaliation.

As reported, the boy was let go thru the back door and a rumor spread quickly outside the store that the oy was beaten to death. This caused the 1935 riot.
