
Hundreds of students around the country struggle trying to find the right college career that would do both: satisfies them as a person and help them build a better future for them and their family. Many times, these students start college with a major they are not sure about and end up quitting their studies or changing their major.
A study made by Doug Lederman, editor, and one of the three founders of Inside Higher Ed. found that nearly a third of first-time students choose a major and then change it at least once within three years because they were confused about what they wanted to do in their future. This not only makes them waste time but money as well.
Students like Nathaly Estrella, a young immigrant girl graduating this summer from Sleepy Hollow High School who went through a very rough time deciding which major would be the best for her.
